 Alexander Engel is a multidisciplinary artist born in Mexico City, recognized for his innovative 3D acrylic wall sculptures that seamlessly blend technology with traditional media. With a career that spans almost two decades, Alexander initially established himself in the fast-paced world of advertising in New York City, where he thrived as an international commercial and music video director. His work during this time earned him a reputation for creativity and precision, collaborating with high-profile clients and artists across the entertainment industry.

However, after 15 years in the advertising sector, Alexander sought a lifestyle that would allow him to reconnect with his artistic roots. He returned to Mexico, where he made a deliberate shift toward visual arts, transitioning from directing to full-time artistic creation. This transition marked the beginning of his deep exploration into the intersection of technology and fine art. He now specializes in merging cutting-edge image processing techniques with organic mixed media practices, creating work that challenges conventional artistic boundaries.

Over the past decade, Alexander has expanded his artistic vocabulary through a combination of digital collages, printmaking, and resin layering. His 3D works are a striking fusion of digital and analog processes, resulting in pieces that offer viewers a multi-dimensional experience. By layering diverse media and incorporating advanced technologies, he creates artwork that not only captures the eye but also invites deeper engagement with its intricate texture, form, and underlying concepts.

Alexander Engel es un artista multidisciplinario nacido en la Ciudad de México. Reconocido por sus innovadoras esculturas murales de acrílico que fusionan de manera perfecta la tecnología con los medios tradicionales. Con una carrera que abarca casi dos décadas, Alexander se estableció inicialmente en el vertiginoso mundo de la publicidad en Nueva York, donde prosperó como director internacional de comerciales y videos musicales. Su trabajo en este período le valió una reputación por su creatividad y precisión, colaborando con clientes y artistas de alto perfil en la industria del entretenimiento.
Sin embargo, después de 15 años en el sector publicitario, Alexander buscó un estilo de vida que le permitiera reconectar con sus raíces artísticas. Regresó a México, donde realizó un cambio deliberado hacia las artes visuales, pasando de la dirección a la creación artística de tiempo completo. Esta transición marcó el inicio de su profunda exploración de la intersección entre la tecnología y el arte fino. Actualmente se especializa en fusionar técnicas de procesamiento de imágenes de vanguardia con prácticas orgánicas de medios mixtos, creando obras que desafían los límites convencionales del arte.
En la última década, Alexander ha ampliado su vocabulario artístico a través de una combinación de fotografía, collages digitales, grabado, capas de resina y cerámica. Creando obras que no solo capturan la vista, sino que también invitan a una mayor interacción con su intrincada textura, forma y conceptos subyacentes.
